WHY KITCHENER-WATERLOO-CAMBRIDGE?

Economic Diversity | Population Growth | Job Growth | Transportation Improvements | Rental Demand and Housing Prices

Considered the "Economic Alberta of Ontario", the Region of Waterloo (Kitchener-Waterloo and Cambridge) is on top of the list of Ontario's best cities to invest in for the next 5 years. (Source: REIN - The Real Estate Investment Network, 2014).

Just over an hour West of Toronto, the Technology Triangle is within reach of Canada's largest metropolitan population, and its largest municipal economy. The area has shifted from a strong manufacturing base to include areas and companies focused on high-technology, software, digital media, biotechnology and others. An influx of foreign investment and foreign-owned high-tech businesses has contributed to an increasingly diverse workforce. With an ongoing flow of talent graduating from the University of Waterloo, Wilfred Laurier University and Conestoga College, it is no wonder why businesses are attracted to the area, and why educated workers are constantly flocking to the region -- contributing to a rapidly expanding population.

The Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge area is poised to see major transportation improvements (including the extension of the Lakeshore West GO line and construction of a rapid transit line) over the next 5 years, which will attract even more businesses and provide easier and faster access to other parts of town -- as well as to and from surrounding areas, including the GTA.

In-migration is strong, average incomes are strong, job growth continues. Demand for rental housing continues to be strong and reasonably priced housing is available.
